With its headquarters close to Mont Blanc, the highest mountain in the Alps, winter apparel brand Wed’ze specializes in gear for skiing, snowboarding and other winter sports. For its 2016–2017 winter online lookbook, the brand wanted a site with dynamic animations, a creative navigation system and trendy design. Keeping this idea of fresh in mind, Lyon, France–based digital studio Akaru created a site that evokes fresh powder snow with a continuous, smooth experience. The Akaru team drew the site’s animations in Canvas to ensure high performance and PixiJS to render the site with WebGL.
