Versatile, multidisciplinary creative studio XXIX is anything but conventional, and it would follow that its portfolio site would also take an unorthodox approach. “Making yourself a site is hard; you can easily be your own worst client,” says XXIX designer Jacob Heftmann. “In the end, we settled on rolling out the site in stages.” Built in the firm’s own program Small Victories that builds sites based on files in Dropbox, XXIX’s portfolio site lays out its mission as a scrolling background; small floating links lead to the firm’s work, enabling visitors to link to specific web projects.
