“A 30' × 13' mural installation that greets children and other visitors to the Nature Lab at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County. The mural celebrates Los Angeles as a biodiversity hotspot and features unusual juxtapositions of animals, insects and other elements found within the region. As an added layer to all the stories to discover in the museum, I hid a half-inch ladybug in the mural, which visitors can search for during their trips. I am a nature and animal lover, so it was such a special experience to work at the museum alongside so many incredibly dedicated people. I had a chance to go behind the scenes and geek out over historic items in the collection. They even gave me an employee badge—I kept it.”
