“Our work on fast-casual restaurant chain Illegal Pete’s was all about returning the human hand to this gritty, punk-influenced brand. Inspired by a DIY-til-you-die mentality, we created everything, including a custom, variable-weight typography system; a Lotería deck of 54 illustrations reflecting the brand’s history; and a color palette as diverse as the burrito combinations it serves up. This brand is principled but playful and oh-so-tasty.”
