Background: Couro Azul, or Blue Leather, is a strong player in the automotive market. With clients like Porsche, Volvo, Mercedes and Volkswagen, Couro Azul holds an impressive record of creating over 56 millions steering wheels since 1998. The company needed an impressive website to match its leading automobile industry presence, and the website does so with a respectful tribute to the company’s 78-year-heritage.

Highlights: Couroazul.com is a website built with exceptional care for details and respect for the legacy of the company. It stands out as a product of digital craftsmanship and storytelling, crafted for a smooth navigation in spite of its heavy graphics.

Challenges: Leather is not an easy subject nowadays, so we had to use extreme caution to make the process as neutral as possible considering it’s an animal by-product that could easily upset people. Also, generating all the content for the website and integrating it as an unique experience took a lot of resources and time.

Favorite details: The site’s design with a sense of elegance. Also, the videos flow across the navigation without any interruptions. Seamless transitions across the sections might o unnoticed, but it contributes to a strong seamless experience.

Approach: We learned that you could only get websites like this if you are allowed to control every single aspect of it.
