"The Oaks, a Los Angeles, developmental, nonprofit K-6 institution, established Cafe Mary to introduce Mary Fauvre, Ph.d. as the new Head of School," said writer Keith Dixon. "The focus of the event and playfully worded advertising were designed to encourage parental attendance and establish an atmosphere for sharing thoughts or concerns with Mary in a casual setting. Advertising was thematically lighthearted and provocative, with new posters going up every four to six weeks throughout the school year. Attendance at the events reflected the campaign's themes and have subsequently become a blossoming tradition, providing opportunities for news to be shared, ideas entertained and a forum providing the diverse community time to celebrate their shared goals for the school and their children."
